MY MOTHER'S FOR INSTANCE. MISSES HER AFTER SHE'S BEEN IN HOSPITAL FOR 6 MONTHS. NOT AS MUCH OF A PROBLEM AS MY FAVOURITE HORSE PERSON JENNY, WHO'S TOO WIMPY TO SET UP A SPACE.

THANKS TO THE IDEA FOR THE cARTOON!!

NOT SO MUCH OF APROBLEM AS THE BLOODY ADMINISTRATORS EITHER!!

This guest book was originally the "cat blog", my very first blog in the 2nd week of March 2006. In order to preserve it in perpetuity, and so you can tell who's been turning up since the beginning, I had the idea to turn it into a guest book. I did this on the occasion of HRH Daf becoming my 10,000th visitor, three months later on June 21st  The music is "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You"by Van Morrison (though its a bit slow playing!).

You are at liberty to write in here, in the blogs or not write at all.

    Enjoy!

    Aye up Slapper
Glad to see you made it home safe and sound.
Hope you enjoyed your little jaunt, you feel refreshed and of course the critters are all fit and well.
Been a long week over here - Flitting folks and taking children to school (sounds easier than it is).
    LOL
I'm sure there will be more pics from you of your trip
    Look forward to those.

I think the recent events at CERNE ha a delayed affect on my electrical stuff - Gits !

Any new snaps with the new Cam ?
    How's the lappy behaving ?
I hate using mine as a main machine. But needs must til I can afford a base unit. No point in adding a new G-card and A-card to such an old machine. It'd be a bit like "Triggers Brush".
Off to do some toast (not to Queen and country - the buttered type)

    Aye up Bob...
Now - I understand that banks do need to make cahrges. However, should bank charges be proportianate to the actual shortfall ?
Maybe charge a base of £5 and then a percentage on top ?
I also understand that people on or in a wealthier state get charged the same as me. But, if charges were made proportianate to wealth and income, that wouldn't be fair either.
The manager that eventually called me back tonight stated that the charges were to cover their costs in calling me back (after I spent 2 hours trying to contact them) on an 0845 number. At that point I went Ballistic !!! and told him that the account was going to be closed tomorrow to which he replied..... "Well, you can't actually close this account as it's in arrears of £12.67"
    Foookin idiot !!!
I suggested he clicked "Next" to see the account details for tomorrow.
Anyhoo.... Still waiting for that cheque from Camelot so that I can rub the managers of The Co-Operative Bank's noses in it.
    Fat Chance
    LOL
Any other business ? ...... still plodding Fella

Aye up Bob....Now, WMP all good and well and, there are some reebie plugins you can get to enhance your MP3s. These various plugins can reintroduce the resonance and body that seems to be lost sometimes when converting original recordings either from Vinyl or Tape.
However, I strongly recommend WinAmp for it's overall data and info searching via Tagging. Easily organising your music folders etc.

I recently installed another free media player, Media Monkey which on the whole is similar to Winamp (re the organisation etc) but doesn't seem to have as many plugins available.

With Winamp there are so many different add-ons and plugins that can bring the original sound back in. There's even a "robot" plugin that pre scans your files (looking at the tags and recognising the bit ratio to identify the track) and sets the Equaliser to the required settings (based on pre entered info regarding listening environment etc).

Check them out - I hate QT - Waste of time unless you subscribe to iPod resources (in other words, pay for it).

Have Fun - There's plenty to go at

    Music ?
Well, there's the usual WMP available with your own linked music files (I've never really used anything else).
There are the "Jukebox" Flashplayer type multiplayers that you can create in a custom html module.
I haven't tried that at all. Many use it though. I still do as you do - have a list of links.

Andy Murray ? Yeah well, he'll never be a team player and I think these games are all about team spirit.
Take yer time with the revamp - don't do too much at once. You'll only suffer for it !
    LOL

Aye up Bob.... Just caught me before I todle off to bed.
    Errmm.... Yup - pretty much.
Usually, and PC using Win Xp or Vista will have had the HD converted to FAT32. All EHD's are FAT32 - they have been since 2005. There shouldn't be a problem with it though. Have you got the films in DVD format (VOB etc) ?
If so, try DVD Shrink to well, shrink them down to around 2.5Gb each. Hardly any noticable difference.
    I also presume it's a USB 2.0 connection ?

Don't attempt to copy multiple items across to your new drive. It will refuse depending on your memory and your page file size.
I transferred 420Gb once to a new Tb Drive and it took 7 hours - many files (usually vid) refused but eventually, with patience, it worked.

Keep trying - I'm sure you'll have fun with your Lappy (make sure it's on a hard surface and not on the sofa - knackered a friend's once).
Still getting used to Vista on mine - don't like it much !
    LOL

Sorry - I've only just seen your message re the camera - Souns good to me fella !

Re Jack - Apparently he had a good day - he trashed the classroom this morning and then handed out all the cakes that Pa got him, to his classmates.
I didn't see him today - we went bowling last night - vid soon to appear on youtube no doubt.
    LOL
Just been on a strange excursion - Mate of mine, Jenny, phoned to see if I could go down to her works as a car had driven off the bypass and into their roof/wall.
    ???
Got there and found 8 coppers, a fire engine with 6 officers, the security company that serves the estate and a reporter !
Fortunately the fella in the car wasn't too bad - broken collar bone and ankle.
Still, he knows where his car is parked when he comes 'round !!!
I'll get some pics off Jen tomorrow no doubt (Ghoulish I know but, I'm sure you'd like to see 'em)

Hope all's good and well over your way fella

Hmmm - sad, talented and very disarrayed.
Just watching the Amy Winehouse program on 4.
Another sorry and sad waste of talent.
I really wish I could grab her by the shoulders and bellow at her !!!
Such a shame that she is how she is.

Talking of talent, did you drop by Penny's ?
This fella - a sad story but, at least he's happy in what he does (amazingly).

    Anyhoo..... How's the ticker ?
I have a final check this month to verify mine's due for changing.
Apart from that, how about everything else ?

Not seen a lot going on your way, I presume you're still having probs sitting at the goldfish bowl for prolonged amounts of time ?

Reight - Gonna grab a vino and .... well, do the same. Sit in front of the old Goldfish Bowl
